City of Chambery, France

Chambery Metropole is a conurbation authority of 38 cities, with more than 130.000 inhabitants. The area extend from Lyon on the west side to Turin on the east side, and from Grenoble on the north to Annecy on the south.
In order to optimize the inhabitants living quality, Chambery Metropole often upgrades the road network and favours environmentally-friendly modes of transport like public transport, bike or car sharing solutions.

Thanks to its multidisciplinary fields of work, CeRyX Trafic System is able to advise the conurbation authority in all the problematic sectors. CeRyX Trafic System has a perfect territorial expertise that permit appropriate advices to answer the inhabitants needs of Chambery Metropole.

CeRyX Trafic System collaborated with several technical departments of the Chambery Metropole conurbation authority, like road or transport departements, or even with the environmentally friendly modes of transport departement. More than 35 projects have been realized by CeRyX Trafic System on the territory : creation of BRT with priority system on traffic lights, deployment of a radio bus priority system, dynamic simulations for important road issues, main contractor missions to create traffic-light-controlled junctions.

Our different missions permit the city to have new road designs, new road functioning and dedicated bus lanes. We contributed by

  • defining road traffic rules, with a conurbation authority modeling and highlighting the road network dysfunctions
  • better sharing roads between the different modes of transport by creating dedicated lanes for each of them
  • public transport optimizing, by making them more attractive and reliable especially with the priority system on junctions

Chambery Metropole makes a lot for its inhabitants confort, by improving the public transport network, and facilitating travels between different big centers of the conurbation authority.

Side alleys redevelopment in the Charles de Gaulles Avenue
City of Neuilly-sur-Seine, France

Neuilly sur Seine city council launched a competition to find the main contractor to redesign the side alleys of the Charles de Gaulle Avenue, from Porte Maillot to La Défense (Pont de Neuilly).

Objectives : reducing the non-urban area between the two Neuilly riversides, creating new living places with priority given to environmentally-friendly modes of transport and change this part of road to become an economical and cultural urban boulevard.


CeRyX Trafic System is proud to be a member of the groupe of companies in charge of this project conception, estimated to be around 45 millions of euros. The study will take 1 year and landscaping projects are planned during 4 years.

Studies started in december 2016 with travel problems ; Of course, inhabitants and local businesses will take part of the debates.


CeRyX Trafic System participates of the BRT creation in Gonesse !
City of Gonesse, France

The BRT will be called bus lane 20 and will link the Villiers le Bel/ Arnouville train station to the Parc des Expositions of Villepinte. The lane has a total length of tens kilometers and crosses twenty intersections and eight bus stations. At least, 7200 users are waited on the lane. The project is ending in december 2016.

CeRyX Trafic System intervenes as main contractor for the Val d'Oise departmental board about the traffic lights, the bus priority system and the low voltage equipment of the Gonesse BRT stations. Actually, the main contractor concerns two aspects :

  • monitoring and organisation of the traffic lights tests (incorporation of the crossroad priority system into the traffic lights programmation and functioning).
  • monitoring and organisation of the bus station systems and the corresponding tests (intercom and audio systems, travellers information system and bus videoprotection into stations). Systems are linked with the central control station by fibre optic network.
  • monitoring and organisation of the retractable bollards implementation on the bus itinerary. The bollards functioning has been decided in cooperation with the contracting authority and the bus company.


The tramway of Rio de Janeiro avec CeRyX Trafic System !

CeRyX Trafic System was in charge of the priority system expertise of the Rio de Janeiro Tramway. This mission has been going since 2014. The mission was to verify and approve the priority system functioning proposed by companies in charge of the works realization, to validate the crossroads working files and to participate during the commissioning tests.


Rio de Janeiro wanted to upgrade the historic center and the harbour area « Porto Maravilha ». With 7 carriages, the tramway is 44 meters long, and can carry on 420 passagers at a time and transport until 200 000 travellers per day.

For a successful integration in the historic center, the tramway ride without catenary lines, and is powered from the ground. Supercapacitors, layed on the rooftop, store the energy and permit to give it back when needed. The power coming from the ground is not continuous.

All in all, the project contains 3 lines :

  • A line connecting Praia Formosa to the Santos Dumont airport . This line had to be operational in june (2016) for the Olympic games
  • A line between Praia Formosa and Barcas
  • A line connecting Central do Brasil to Cinelândia


CeRyX Trafic System monitors the BRT of Dunkerque !

The project must revive the actual public transports, by defining 5 lanes xith a high level of service.That means that lanes will have particular layout and priority systems to guarantee the journey time.

As member of the main contractor group of companies, CeRyX Trafic System is responsible of the traffic lights aspects:

  • Definition of the priority system to develop on the bus network,
  • Study of the traffic light crossroads functioning with priority system
  • Installation of the traffic lights poles and the sensing means

The project started in autumn 2015 for 3 years. The end is programmed for august 2018.

CeRyX Trafic System wins the FASEP project of Casablanca !
City of Casablanca, Morocco

CeRyX Trafic System is the representative of the group of companywhich wins the call for candidacy initiated by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of France. It concerns the feasibility studies to create the Central Station for Circulation and Security.

The project will begin with a diagnosis of the situation, then will be the functioning definition and the associated organization of the contracting authority. It will ends with the redaction of the terms of reference for a realisation main contractor consultancy. This project has been initiated as part as a FASEP (capital to build studies and support private companies), and took place between june 2014 and february 2015.
